Tenderness- Robert Cormier

What luck. The next book I choose to read just happens to be a new movie with Russell Crowe! As I went to look up the image for this post, I found the link to the movie at the Internet Movie Database (one of my favorite websites).

Anyway, Tenderness. Eric Poole is just being released from juvenile hall. He's spent the last three years there for killing is parents (yeah, this one's not for the faint of heart). He's staying with his aunt until he gets his license and can move on. He's being very careful because his old pal Lieutenant Proctor has a close eye on his every move. Eric doesn't want the officer to know about any of the other murders he's committed.
Lori is a runaway. Her mom has habit of forgetting about her once another sleazy boyfriend comes into the picture. She met Eric once when he was twelve and has remembered him ever since. Once she hears he is being released from juvie, she is on a mission to meet him again.
See what happens when Lori puts herself in danger to meet the object of her obsession.
*** stars- the story was great, but it was a little creepy for me. Though knowing that there is a movie coming out soon is even more incentive to read it.
On to the next one!
